CLUB TOY DRIVE
As part of Velocity's annual December kick-off pasta party, club members collected toys and games to donate to children in need. This year's contribution went to children in the community of Newtown, Connecticut. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the families affected by this tragedy.
VELOCITY U14 GIRLS TEAM WINS US YOUTH SOCCER REGION 1 2013 FAIR PLAY AWARD!
The Velocity Girls U14 team was recently selected as a 2013 Fair Play award winner based on their participation at the US Youth Soccer Region 1 Championships in Lancaster, PA in July.
The Fair Play Award is selected by referees, state representatives and the US Youth Soccer National Championship Committee. Award-winning teams are recognized for displaying positive conduct on the field toward their opponents and game officials throughout the competition.
Congratulations to all the girls, parents and to Coaches Mike Lane and Scott Nason on a job well-done!!
The Velocity Girls High School Academy is a must for high school players serious about improving their technique and strategy. Experienced coaches will lead drills and exercises designed to help athletes develop critical skills, provide overall conditioning and broaden each player's understanding of the game.
Indoor training at Yourspace in Gorham will begin in January, outdoor training in the Spring will be in either Saco or Biddeford. Specific training dates and times TBD.
Cost is $350 and includes all training space time, premier level coaching from the Velocity coaching staff, a Velocity HSA t-shirt and participation in the outdoor Maine Premier league in the Spring. Please note that this an instructional program, not a premier team.

SHOWCASE TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS!
The Velocity Boys U18 team took first place at the Seacoast United Showcase Tournament, March 2nd and 3rd at the Seacoast United Outdoor Complex in Epping, NH. They defeated AC Milan (MA) 4-2 in the finals. Congratulations!
